TPA and Your Personal Information
Because you are a valued member of the Travelers Protective Association of America we are committed to protecting your personal information. We want you to understand what information we collect, how we collect it, how it is used and the steps we take to protect your information. The term ”TPA” or “we” or “our” or “us” in this Policy means the association or its affiliates.
Why We Collect and How We Use Information
To serve you and manage our fraternal association it is important that TPA collect and maintain accurate personal information about you. Information we collect is used to determine your classification of membership, evaluating benefit claims, inform you of post, state and national activities, services, products and programs that may interest you, conduct market and industry research, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
How We Collect Information
We obtained your information when you voluntarily completed and submitted the membership application and any forms associated with conducting business with TPA. This information includes but is not limited to:
- Name and address, telephone number, age, date of birth, and beneficiary(s); and
- Occupation, occupational duties and limited medical information when accessing claims.
How We Protect Information
We do not sell or disclose personal information of our members for purposes unrelated to our products and services. The personal information of our members is of paramount importance to us. TPA maintains strict administrative and physical safeguards to ensure the security and confidentiality of your personal information and records. To verify, ensure accuracy and request additional information, we will contact you directly. Under certain circumstances, TPA may release information we collect:
to actuarial or other affiliates who perform services for us or functioning on our behalf marketing TPA products and services;
- to a party to a proposed sale, transfer, merger or consolidation of all or part of TPA’s business;
- to you or as authorized by you in writing; and
- as otherwise required or permitted by law.
We Will Keep You Informed
As required by Federal law, we will notify you of our privacy policy annually. We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time, but rest assured that if we do change it, we will notify you promptly.

As a TPA member, you have entrusted to our care your personal information since 1890. We recognize that your relationship with us is based on trust, and that you expect us to act responsibly in your best interest
