Types of Membership |
Effective June 30, 1996, TPA now has four classes of membership. This allows more people to be eligible for membership and to participate.
Class A Membership: Class A includes all new accepted members who are in good health, 18 to under 65 years of age at time of entry and engaged in a preferred risk occupation according to the Classification of Risk Manual. Members have accident and disability benefits on and off the job.
Class B Membership: Class B includes all new accepted members who are in good health, 18 to under 65 years of age and who are engaged in a non-preferred occupation according to the Classification of Risks Manual. Members have accident and disability benefits off the job and limited accident and disability benefits on the job according to the Classification of Risks Manual.
Class C Membership: Class C includes all new accepted members, 18 to under 65 years of age at time of entry, who cannot qualify for Class A or Class B due to health conditions. Members do not have accident and disability benefits, but are eligible for all other membership benefits and privileges.
Class D Membership: Class D includes all new accepted members who are age 65 and over at time of entry. Members do not have accident and disability benefits, but will have all other membership benefits and privileges.
Annual Dues for Classes A & B: $35.00 with a one time $5.00 Membership Fee at time of application.
Annual Dues for Classes C & D: $19.40 with a one time $5.00 Membership Fee at time of application.
